This has been a busy year and everything passed in a flurry.
As a new year begins,
i wish it brings along new hopes and surprises that awaits everyone...

i've sort of lost track of time for the following events but still they are very meaningful to me. So here goes:
went to Chinatown with Val and Kelvin to collect the 美珍香bah kwas. it was the first time i visited Chinatown in the festive season. so i was pretty excited! and i learnt that 傻人有傻福 cuz Val and I managed to drive into the exact lane although we were completely lost! also from this project, it brought up certain memories of the past and i fully understand it isn't easy to be a leader and it is really impossible to please everyone... anw, im really thankful to be in Biz com cny subcomm as it has been a really good learning experience :D

this was pretty recent. bridge.sunrise. emo auntie. circles. come what may.i wanna try the frog leg porridge, sha bo fan, gui ling gao, xiaolong bao! geylang!!!!fei fei wanton!chiong ah!demonic figure

aha! this is my masterpiece for today. the suddenly inspired xt at work. i used the membership card to form the words ROVERS and used the strings that were lying around and twirled it around to form the words BIKE2BITE. i enjoy making random conversations to random people. Speaking of which, i got a little interested with the prospects of being an insurance agent or LIFEPlanner as they put it. HMmm, i need advices. must ask mama first too...

our 29th Committee Reunion. i rmb this was during the first day when school reopen. Full strength of 15 was present. sometimes i wonder if im in a dream, climbing the mountains, biking at night, floating at the waterfall, gazing at the star studded night sky. carrying a bag that is taller than me, cooking on a mountain top. this seems pretty surreal. perhaps certain aspects of Rovers is really like a dream too. Seemingly Real but is that really the case? Illusions? *suddenly got alot of 感触。。。hmmm,i met alot of different ppl and their stories nv fail to surprise me(it fluatuates from the pleasant to the unpleasant, making me really hopeful and disappointed at the same time)

Quoting one of them, " 随缘吧。。。看破红尘”

My #2 CZPS gathering @ Teo Heng.It was a pretty weird experience on the whole but im really glad i caught up with PW. it was really really nice to have someone whom u can chat machiam like we knew each other for ages. loved the dessert tgt too.记得吃！

wahaha, so SEH hor. kekeke. TOUCH RUGBY carnival. quoting hong "virgin arms being violated by the sun"... :S lol. but seriously, sun burn is REALLLY BAD, i had to sleep with my back facing the roof for a couple of days cuz it was really scorched. :(((

talking about sports reminds me of FLOORBALL,

super sian diao cuz i sprained/ twisted/ krak krak ( i tot i heard that song or felt it krak krak ) my foot:((((

intially it was only a LITTLE PAINFUL but it soon developed into something that made me squeese my eyebrows everytime i try to walk normally(ie plant my entire feet on the ground)

but thankfully i figured out that walking around with a limp helps ALOT:D

i tink i am super happy and looking fwd that i can go home on a fri evening that i sorta forgot that there is Morning tut and lecs b4 that:( and brenda just pointed out the million dollar qn, how am i gg to walk to lessons tmr.

F4缺C @ 三盅两件soup restaurant need some healthy dish, though i tried hard to abstain from egg and chicken, how could i miss out the 招牌菜 Samsui CHicken! yummy! the fish and pork soup was really bitter at first taste but later had a bittersweet甘甜aftertaste...

萧敬腾 is soooo charming. haha. i love that he can sing happy, emo, old, new, hokkien, chinese, eng(ok mayb not so much of this genre) and i tink 超级星光大道 is a really good place to hear nice and good songs!i love all his duets! with Amei and Fanfan! nice nice nice...听了我好陶醉！and i think he looked really cute with his braided and blonde long hair! haha. he made me really wanna go to a 民歌餐厅. speaking of which i have yet to visit any pub this holz:( i really wanna go to a pub! haven't been to one in my entire two decades!

listening to yokey speak about her sweden trip makes me feel really excited for her too! i would really want to go but mum seems pretty against the idea of exchange. tink its because of $$$. hmm nvm. i hope our 毕业旅行 plan will really come true:D i wanna go Japan(zhu!) and Taiwan(trabeus!) and Europe(yuny!). i hope F4 can go somewhere tgt too! omyyyyy, the thought of travelling is getting me all excited! ahhhh

recently i stumbled upon certain pictures in fb and found out something that made me pretty sad. i confided in gc abt it and im really glad he was there to listen:D really glad to have gone to the czps gathering and gotten back in touch with this piggie. haha

although i've always gone on abt how i love my dhs days. i realise its a love-hate r/s. and its all connected to co. but sadly during the 团员大会& homecoming, both events, neither did i attend. i guess i nv was a big group person.

it wasn't the big events that bonded us together but the small little secrets and sweet nothings that tied the pretty little bowstrings between us.

although we did share beautiful moments and wonderful times together, it was but for a while. i should stop painting a beautiful picture of us in my mind for it will only remain there. 当一切只是过眼云烟。。。

leisure activity: listening to the 长辈们sing oldies like 甜蜜蜜and CNY songs

it was quite an eye-opening experince cuz it was the place where mom was brought up. aunt brought me and mei ard the house and told us abt how the house used to be bigger and about the house well and the spooky 蝴蝶婆婆 and showed me mom's primary school which is directly ops the house and also the vegetable garden and many other things.

although things turned out VERY different from what i expected( i went there thinking it was going to be a posh hotel). BUT well, although i was (not pleasantly) Harshly suprised, i slowly saw the beauty in it.

For one, i loved the car journey where i see the respect for elderly. cant quite put it in words but it's like though u know someone is obviously wrong u just go along with the person and "pretend" to listen. haha

Second, i loved the fact that there were Gunungs and Tamans around. the air was cool and crisp too:) everyone there had a very 纯朴look and children were scooting around in motorbikes! even old couples of up to age 70+ were on scooters too. awww...

Third, it felt really surreal to see people of around my age all getting married. And i liked the fact the this couple are both uni grad yet they remain loyal to their roots:D according to 村长， 他们一个是硕士，一个是学士。and of cuz how can i miss out the ktv session where all the elderly sang.. mayb when i am a parent i would love this kinda wedding, i'd prolly hog on to the mike. hoho. but i certainly not wish to be sining one entire sentence later and in a different pitch! hoho.

the culture there was very different too. they actually address each other by shouting OI! across and haha, use plastic bags to tapao the remaining food that were leftover! As i was not feeling very well, i ate remarkably little :( what a waste to the yummy dishes!

one night, i had a nice chat with mama, and i realise i share many similar encounters with her past. and im really glad i inherited her love for nature:D as she recollected her past, i felt this warm surge through me cuz i could see a child in her eyes and true happinesss as she relished her youth. i was especially touched over her choice of dad. 一颗善良的心 wins over any materialistic wealth. in the end of the day, it was love over bread. now, how many people can make this choice?

for a moment i was feeling very ashamed of myself for feeling certian ways towards my dad and i finally saw the light of usually invisible good points of my dad. these are really the intangibles. sometime in the pursuit of tangible and fighting to climb to the top in terms of job, salary, education level and stuff, we forgot the most basic intangibles like time spent together, love, care and concern and most imptly at the end of the day. whether money or love matters more to u. like what mama say, "dad doesnt have any of the 5Cs", but at least he will go la kopi C with my mama:D

i love conversation that bring about tears and laughter, it only bonds the heart closer. its this kind of conversation that i walk away, feeling like a better person and that i;ve learnt a whole lot more about life and wanting to live the upcoming days to the fullest.

den it was another round of food stuffins session and spying on ppl's facebook session. i love her ah ma's 独门秘方of "kiao" yummy! sauted seaweed mixed with chopped waterchestnut wrapped in wanton skin!

a surprisingly delightful combination!maybe next time can try for treks...haha

311208 COUNTDOWN @ THE SAIL
拖Connie 的福，we mangaged to view the fireworks from Tower 1 which had an unobstructed view of the marine bay floats:D

and also we were super lucky cuz she had the units facing the float so we didn;t have to go down earlier to cope place at the skyterrace where everyone booked their little corner. Needless to mention the whole crowd at the bridge area and the open land right below.

ok, my shots of the firework arent fantastic or whatsoever but well, i was too engrossed watching the fireworks this time than to be taking shots of them. the usualll WAAAAA.... WAAAA..... WAAAAA......

this time round it was better than that during NDP cuz of the location, we got Tower1 which had better view and also we had the tv showing the life telecasta so the music did help create the almosphere too. Plus, there was food and games yadayada...

i enjoyed the pool and fake jacuzzis( though i much prefer the waterfalls)

The highlight of the day(literally) was the HOT STONE Suana:D <3<3<3>

pls remind me to bring along salt scrub and hair treatment wax next time round.

yay, till then we can scrub each others back:)

ahh... i cant believe i almost forgot that i climbed this due to the lack of photos!

climbing friends included wh,seng, xr, jw, clara, zw and me! haha.

early in the morning when i woke up on the train, i heard the thunder and saw the pitter pattering of strong fat raindrops on the glass. my heart almost sank. but thankfully i still live up to my no-rain-on-treks-lucky-girl record! the clouds cleared while we waited for 大小姐 Ms C to rush down from hall. hohoho. hereby, i bestow upon myself the title of little miss sunshine. :D

summary: short and sweet(not)..

its an understatement when ppl said that this mt is msia's Bukit Timah Hill. its not THAT easy...haha. It was really pretty steep and strenuous

more of Streneous and Siong! haha

we are totally a 自作孽clique of ppl:D i can still rmb panting and dripping sweat up that flight of "stairs" which leads to the second peak.

it was pretty amusing and stunning to see strong and sturdy peeps like Seng tumbling down. haha.

having said the above, i still think it was a worthwhile trek! very fun and i miss catching up with my breath. and also cuz it was a self-organised trip we got to buy tix on the spot and basicially everything was very free and easy. OTOT as well! it was very fun to trek in a small group and get to really feel like an adventure:)

and also, thankfully the customs allowed my less than 6months passport validity to pass...phew.

27th DEC- Pasir Ris Park with Adeline!:D yay, its been quite some time since i've gotten on a bike and thankfully for the good weather, we managed to explore the understated Pasir Ris Park! Most importantly, i got to catch up with my trekking buddy whom i haven gotten to trek tgt this Dec:( haha. 想当年，we met at Datuk Trek and amazingly hit off so well! hoho

we were both looking for a low budget outing so it was just nature, sweat and sight seeing. and how can i miss out gossips. heh, anyway, thanks to aunt cynthia for the loan of bikes and also the free lift back to white sands. are we the luckiest ppl on earth or what?! haha.

i felt abit bad cuz i kept zooming in front of adeline! haha, buden i tink adeline did improve alot on her biking skills! yay, she managed to overcome her "go-in-between 2 poles skills" and managed to tackle all the curves and sharp bends! next time we must try to cycle on the mangrove swamp route okie! 你行的！ :Dour first rest stop was pretty significant cuz we were camwhoring with the artistic dustbins and having my little doraemon posing with the dustbin when we discovered that the bbq pit which we stopped at was pit no 29! haha, such coincidence! i bet the cleaner think we're mental or sth. hoho.

den our next stop was the playground! fun fun! though we only sat at the swing but it was fun! we both love swings! yipee:D

den later at the horse stable there we found another nice swing which adeline described as" thoose swings you can find at rich ppl's house" hohoho
after yeoing a while adeline said her head was spinning. haha, must be the hangover effect ahhh~ i also wanna drink and play mahjong! giAN!
den there was this nice spot to sit 吹吹风&看看天&海which someone labelled as the sprayed yellow words as shown above. aiyoi vandalism neh! but i have to add that that particular day the coast was exceptionally clear and i could see the across islands and every single minuscular thingy so clearly! it was a surreal experience:D and i do miss the beach. actually i forgot to tell adeline that this place was one of my significant place too... haiz. though the shape is no longer on the sand...
haha adeline remarked that we can pian ppl say we go to some island. hohoyay, i tink adeline is a budding photographer par excellence! :D
after which we headed for the jap-cum-korean place at eastpoint to eat and den adeline had to rush off to her 凤飞飞 concert to work le!

initially i was quite reluctant to go as it was a gathering organised by S( its quite complicated cuz i rmb him but he doesnt:( ) we used to chat on icq in the past and were pretty good friends. but its amazing how ones' memory can be failed so miserably

anyhow,

thankfully there was ppl like janice, fiona and ethel who made me feel really comfortable to talk to. even yanyi whom i did not know till that day was nice and easy to clique and talk to.

somehow,

the first impresstion as i walked towards the cafe was " woah,how come so many guys"

i guess its sth to do with ns

initial awkwardness slowly evolved into an automated animation and artificial high which i tink comes to me so naturally in highly unnatural settings

but i wasnt going to leave within an an hour of reaching.

yay, manage to get abt half the amt of ppl agreeing to go

but last min only left 4 of us.

anw, i tot jx became very cute!!! hee, and i loved his deep voice... ahhhh. so happy got ppl can sing duet with me so nicely:DDDDD and our combined power 生日快乐 by 温岚 was superb too!

that night i also felt exceptionally loved:D

with ppl like huishen, peiwen and gc asking abt my attendance to confirm theirs. i felt like i was really treasured and important to them...

i miss the good old days where the whole buncha ppl are so innocent and good hearted. no evil, no betrayals, no hurt... ahhhh

sun commented that i am still as animated as b4 and my voice nv change.. it kinda brought back waves of memories where we chatted on the phone for hours but yet we remained 最熟悉的陌生人 ：（

we certainly paid quite a hefty sum for the view and the short chat:S but owells, it's like once a year... and it was really nice to sit there and catch up :D

两个小龙女- we are two of popo's beloved 龙头&龙尾。and we both <3> my doraemon fan is DA BEST :D can see which one is the one that accompanied me through all the Rovers Trek and which one is the one happily lying at home one rite? hah

Note: i wish i could meet up with more of my dear friends...i wanna go out! but i also wanna stay at home and nua.. For the record, there was only one single day which i stayed at home and not have any activity in this entire holz. and i also haven caught any single drama series or youtube the whole day away..urghhh. machiam some big biz woman lidat... pui!
